IPL
Pollution, the sun, strong harsh cleansers, and aging cause your skin to become wrinkled and dull. IPL Photofacial restores skin from the inside out, and you do not have to have older-looking skin. IPL Photofacial uses short blasts of high-intensity light to produce firm, younger-looking skin with even tone and texture. Before treatment, your skincare provider will suggest you stay out of the sun. If you have just gotten a tan, you will need to wait for the tan to fade before coming in for IPL treatments. In addition, you will need to avoid medications that make you sensitive to light. Always consult a doctor, however, before stopping prescribed medications.
Treatments are quick and take about 30-60 minutes, depending on your skin issues. During and after treatment, the skin may appear red and swollen. Red and swollen skin is a normal reaction and will disappear in a few hours. You may, however, feel skin warming and some discomfort during treatment.
After treatment, you will need to avoid scented lotions and creams, exfoliants, and do not scrub your face. Freckles and sunspots will initially get darker, but they flake off and fade within one to three weeks. Your skin might feel sunburned, and it is recommended to use an ice pack if the feeling is uncomfortable.
