Volumize Lips
Plumping the lips might be today’s most well-known use for dermal fillers, thanks to certain celebrities. Despite a frequent association with overfilling, lip filler treatments can easily be customized to achieve a subtle enhancement to the natural shape of the lips & to even out the texture by filling in lines and creating symmetry.
Plump Cheeks
The cheeks are an area that tends to experience volume loss with age, especially for runners and those who participate in the high-impact exercise. Expertly injected fillers can restore volume and the youthful appearance of the cheeks without the “face freezing” effects that can be associated with Tox.
Reshape the Chin
Dermal filler injections are commonly used as a non-surgical option to reshape areas such as the chin, jawline, or nose. This can improve a patient’s side profile and reduce the appearance of a sagging neck. The use of fillers has eliminated the need for surgical procedures to fix these common complaints.
Eliminate Marionette Lines & Nasolabial Folds
Marionette lines are those lines below each corner of the mouth that can significantly add age to the face, and as you probably already guessed, resemble those of a marionette doll. Fillers can easily fill in that lost volume in these lines to instantly take years off a face and restore balance to the rest of the face.
FAQs
At The Skin Clinic MedSpa, we use facial fillers made from hyaluronic acid. Using fillers eliminates wrinkles, plump and hydrates lips, replaces soft-tissue volume loss, raises scar depressions, and volumizes folds and creases of the face. Our skin becomes more susceptible to unwanted wrinkles and fine lines as we age, especially due to sun damage and muscle movement. Through facial injections, facial fillers provide a solution to such damage.
The area will be cleaned before the procedure, and you may be given a topical anesthetic to numb the area before the injection. Lidocaine, a mild anesthetic, is often included in filler products to help minimize discomfort during and after the procedure. The provider will then strategically inject a specific amount of filler beneath the skin.
Topical numbing medication is used before the treatment, so it is minimal, although there may be some discomfort.
I believe in natural-looking results, and the best injectable is undetectable. When the incorrect filler is used or injected too much, this can lead to unnatural results, so I will tell clients “no” to prevent this from happening.
The length of time that an injectable HA filler will last depends on the product, the area of treatment, and the patient. Generally speaking, the denser the product and the deeper it is injected, the longer it will last, but this isn’t a hard and fast rule. To maintain your results, your cosmetic surgeon will repeat the treatment, adjusting the amount and technique as necessary.
